Tickets are now on sale for Carolina Parakeet at the 10th Annual HollyShorts Film Festival 2014! We will be screening at 10:00pm on Friday, August 15 at the TCL (formerly Grauman's) Chinese Theatres in the short film block "Horror Shorts Presented by Eli Roth's The Crypt!"

It is, by far, the absolute best venue and format to see Carolina Parakeet as we will be on the big screen at a historic Hollywood landmark, in full DCP 2k Scope and with booming 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound!

Many of the cast and crew will be in attendance! Stick around for Q&As with the filmmakers and please feel free to come hang out, talk films and celebrate with us afterward!

The 4th Annual Dare Media Underground Short Film Festival, August 9-16 in Cork, Ireland

To our dear friends in Ireland: Tickets are now on sale for the 4th annual Underground Short Film Festival in Cork, Ireland!

Screening schedule dates and times have not yet been officially announced, but we are guessing that we will be screening on their Sci-Fi/Horror night at the Camden Palace on Sunday, August 10th at 8:30pm!

This year, they have a fantastic program spread over 8 evenings, including 2 nights of double-bill Drive-in Cinema screenings with iconic films: Alien, Jaws, Back to the Future and Dirty Dancing!

We would love to take a flight out to join in the festivities, unfortunately, no cast or crew can make it out for this festival. If you are one of the lucky ones that can make it, please take plenty of pictures and send them off to us! If you do, we will post the photos on the website and send you a limited edition print of our poster, illustrated by Dave Wilkins!

About the Underground Short Film Festival

The 4th Annual UnderGround Short Film Festival is almost upon us and we simply cant wait! 

We are delighted to have been asked to take part in Indiependence Music and Arts festival from August 1st to 3rd for the 2nd year in succession where we will be showing a selection of music videos and short films from previous years!

Then from August 9th-16th, UnderGround Kicks off as over 700 hundred cinema-goers are expected to attend 20 screenings  of films from 16 countries across 8 days and nights.

For the first time we will screening feature films as well as shorts. We are dlelighted to be the first film festival in the city to bring a Drive-In Cinema to Cork City for two nights! Classic movies that have inspired filmmakers for generations that will be on show will include; Alien, Jaws, Back To TheFuture and Dirty Dancing!

Carolina Parakeet at HollyShorts 2014

As a filmmaker, it should come as no surprise when I tell you that I'm a visual person with an overactive imagination. It's both a blessing and a curse.

Crazy imagination aside, I have never once dreamed that we would be screening our film at the iconic TCL Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. It just sounds too far-fetched.

And yet, here we are.

I am so proud to announce that Carolina Parakeet will be screening as a part of HollyShorts (HSFF) 2014 on August 14-23, sharing the big screen with some phenomenal shorts by truly gifted filmmakers!

If you are going to be in or near Los Angeles and have any interest in checking out Carolina Parakeet, this is absolutely the ideal venue to experience it in its highest quality, presented in 2k Scope DCP with 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound at a historic theater!

Many of the cast and crew will be present, both at Opening Night and at our screening (date and time yet to be announced).

We are excited to announce that CAROLINA PARAKEET is an Official Selection to the Los Angeles Fear & Fantasy Film Festival, and will be screening in Burbank some time on September 5-7!

We made this film to be seen, so we are very grateful and thrilled at every chance that we get to share it with an audience. This should be a very fun, and several members of the cast and crew will be present and in attendance!

About the Los Angeles Fear and Fantasy Film Festival

The Fear and Fantasy Film Festival supports films in all their incarnations, which includes films on social fear, films of fantasy, such as The Nightmare Before Christmas, Science Fiction fare, such as THX 1138, to hardcore genre films like 'Saw'. The festival encompasses all aspects of the genres by including student films, animation, feature films, shorts, cartoons, and anything related to the genres of Fear and Fantasy. An international screenplay competition is held as well, in which five scripts are awarded as 'The Best Un-produced Scripts' from the genres. Awards in numerous categories, including actors.

The festival is held at the Victory Theater in the heart of Burbank, California, with easy access to the Burbank Airport, shops, store, restaurants, and a variety of specialty stores filling the Burbank area, including Halloween Town, and Dark Delicacies.

A couple running for survival from the undead find temporary shelter in the company of a newly retired schoolteacher who has a unique perspective on human nature and a grim prognosis for mankind.

This film is the directorial debut of VFX Artist / Previsualization Supervisor A.J. Briones (AVATAR, WORLD WAR Z, DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES).
